Places to Visit in Güzelyurt

SAINT MAMAS CHURCH / GÜZELYURT:

It is a church built in Byzantine period in Güzelyurt. Aziz Mamas is a monk living in a cave in that region. The church was named after him. It is one of the rare churches still used in Cyprus.

GÜZELYURT NATURE AND ARCHEOLOGY MUSEUM / GÜZELYURT:

It is located right next to the St. Mamas church. Archaeological artifacts found in that area are exhibited. In particular, there is a golden crown, which is one of the most valuable pieces in Cyprus. In addition, animal samples living in this region are exhibited in the lower part of the museum.
