ALTINKUM BEACH / SCAFFOLD:
As we move away from the city crowd of Cyprus, Karpaz is reached. As you progress well, you come to the land of wild donkeys and caretta carettas. The most beautiful beach of the island is right in front of you. There is the golden sand beach, the largest and most virgin fine sand beach of the Mediterranean.
APOSTOLOS ANDREAS MONASTERY / SCAFFOLD:
The church, located very close to the nose of victory, was built in the name of Andreas, one of the apostles of Jesus. According to the belief, while the island was having water shortage, Andreas came and hit the cane and took water from the present monastery. Currently, a water still flows from there. On religious days and Sundays, Christians flock here for the ritual.

Motherland Park is one of the rare parks in K.K.T.C that serves all of our people from 7 to 70 with its green areas, ivy roses, lemon cypresses, lams, palm trees, mulberry trees, willow willows, children’s play groups and pools.
Our children’s playgrounds with a healthy and reliable environment, our children who are joyful and joyful, add color and joy to our park.
It is not necessary to come to Iskele to visit our park, where local people meet in summer evenings, conversations that are unsatisfied, and children’s chirps mixed with the sounds of water in the pool are spread.

Panayia Thedokou Church (Pier Icon Museum)
It is the main church of the village, XII. YY. There were arched recesses on the side walls built with single naves and domes. This church type is XII in Cyprus. It can be seen from Y.Y. This original structure XV. In the century, a vaulted navel was added from the north, and the addition in the western part is estimated to be at a later date. The church was completely overhauled and repaired in 1804.
The carved marble slab seen in the modern bell tower in the north-east corner is probably a piece of balustrade taken from the original iconastasis. Church early XII. Ayios Yakavos Chapel Church (St. James Church)
This church, which is located in the town center of Iskele, “Ecevit square” and is in the Byzantine period, was built in XIV. It is dated to the end of (14th century). It has a single nave and a cross plan. Porcelain dishes are used for decorative purposes on the interior walls.
Until 1974, there were two important icons in this small church. XVII. (17 Y.Y.) One of these dated icons belonged to Jesus Christ and the other to Virgin Mary.
According to written sources, the queen of Romania, Mariya, was so impressed by this little church during her visit that she had a similar one built in the temple on the Black Sea coast.
In March 2009, this little church (Chapel) was restored by the Ministry of Tourism and put into service under the name of tourist information office under the tourism promotion and marketing department.
1. The Monastery of the Invention (Agillar)
3 km from the village of Ağıllar. to the east is a cypress tree with a length of 18 m and a circumference of 41 m, which is estimated to be 400 – 500 years old. Next to it is a flowing spring. The road to the monastery was made of asphalt.
Many local and foreign tourists visit here. You will see more detailed information about the monastery when you visit it.
Environmental Protection Department – Wildlife Information Center
İskele Natural Life Information Center was established in June 2000. It consists of 2 buildings: the head office (information desk) and the exhibition hall.
The rock, known as the Lime Anata Flora Flora behind the office building, is said to be 1 or 2 similar in the world. One of them is located in Haravdi Place in İskele and Haravdi Place is called as Lime Anataş Flora. The purpose of establishment of İskele Wildlife Information Center, inspired by this region, is to protect some Cyprus-specific plants on the rock and endangered.
The exhibition hall consists of 10 corners:
HARAVDI LOCATION LIME ANATASIA FLORA CORNER
In this corner, pictures and information of some plants growing on the relevant rock and endangered are displayed.
For example:
Zannichellia Palustris (Horned Pondweed)
Ranunculus Peltatus – Pond Water-Crowfoot (White Buttercup) etc.
NORTHERN CYPRUS ENDOMIC PLANTS CORNER:
Pictures and information of 17 plants unique to Northern Cyprus are on display.
For example:
Dianthus Cyprus (Cyprus Carnation)
Origanum Syriancum (Cyprus White Thyme), etc.
CORNER SPECIFIC TO ALL CYPRUS CORNERS:
The plants exhibited in this section are both grown in the north and south and 38 of them.
Carlina Involucrata (Cyprus Bününcük Pig’s Thorn)
Ophrus Kotschyi (Cyprus Orchid) etc.
Cyprus Butterflies and Northern Cyprus Ladybugs CORNER:
The names and information of the butterflies that exist all over Cyprus and the ladybugs unique only to Northern Cyprus are displayed with pictures.
NORTHERN CYPRUS BIRDS CORNER:
Three endangered birds that exist only in Northern Cyprus.
Otus Scops Cyprius (Cyprus Jesus Bird)
Oenanthe Cypriaca (Cypriot Wagtail)
Syluia Melanothorax (Cypriot Warbler)

Besides, they are exhibited as information and pictures in Migratory Birds, Sea Turtles, Wetlands, Frogs and Reptiles. In addition, a Butterfly Collection is exhibited in the exhibition hall of the Center.
The Wildlife Information Center also has a cute garden where the staff takes care of and organizes. Especially in spring and winter, Cyprus-specific plants growing green on the relevant rock and endangered are attracting the attention of tourists. You can visit our center to see all these plants and get information.
